The DBC Series Flex-Hone tool was originally developed to deglaze and finish Disc Brake cylinders but can be used anywhere a shorter, more compact tool is required. The Flex Hone tool is available in different abrasive types and grits selections.

How to Use

1. Remove the brake caliper from the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
3. Remove the brake pads from the caliper.
4. Insert the Flex Hone tool into the brake cylinder.
5. Turn the Flex Hone tool clockwise to deglaze and finish the cylinder.
6. Repeat steps 4-5 until the cylinder is smooth and free of debris.
7. Reinstall the brake pads and caliper.
8. Reconnect the brake hose to the caliper.
9. Bleed the brakes according to the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.

Note

• Always wear safety glasses when using the Flex Hone tool.
• Do not use the Flex Hone tool on a hot brake cylinder.
• Do not use the Flex Hone tool on a brake cylinder that is leaking fluid.
