The Kent-Moore KM J-42845Balancer Installer is a heavy-duty tool designed to properly install the balancer to the correct depth onto the crankshaft as stated in the service manual. The extra large size of the pulley case easily be misaligned during installation without J-42845. This tool was designed with heavy duty features to handle the most stubborn jobs. J-42845 is bolted onto the crankshaft. The force from the rotation of the Acme threaded bolt forces the pulley into position. The spring loaded feature inside the body of this tool allows the tech to seat the pulley to the correct depth.
