About Caesar Cipher

Caesar Cipher is used to encode and decode text using the Caesar cipher, which shifts each letter in the alphabet by a fixed number of positions. It shifts each alphabetic character by the specified rotation (ROT13 uses a shift of 13) while leaving numbers and symbols unchanged. ROT13 is a special case of the Caesar cipher with a shift of 13 — it is self-reversing, so applying it twice returns the original text. Caesar Cipher runs free in your browser at abovetool.com — no signup required.

How to use

  1. Paste or type your text, then choose options (case style, cipher shift, list format, and so on).
  2. Click Convert, Analyze, or Generate — many tools also update live as you type.
  3. Copy or download the output. Processing stays in your browser.
